[What is time? Jon is having trouble marking it just now.]
That isn't how it works as far as you know. She's not from our world and knows virtually nothing about what she is. This isn't some pact with an Eldritch entity. It's one stupid person you managed to wrap around your finger.
She is a monster. What matters is whether or not she acts like one. A distinction I'm sure you were only too happy to gloss over. And I told her she needed friends. I even suggested people.
Not really. Rather I empathized with her over being called a monster too. After all, someone who has been sheltered their entire life and mistreated for part of it isn't going to take kindly to being called a monster. True or not. You see, you have to consider her feelings and the feelings of others if you want them to listen.
You don't possess the capacity to empathize with people. You just know how to get what you want. There's a substantial difference. I can empathize with some of what she's gone through. It doesn't in any way excuse the things she's done or threatened. I'm not going to pretend like it does just to spare her feelings. Other people are emotionally abused and tormented like she was and don't turn out like that.
[Which is, fundamentally, his problem with Diva, he supposes. She lets herself do the same stupid, impulsive things over and over again. He sees himself in this picture and he doesn't like it.]
She never asked to have you excuse her actions, Jon. Everyone turns out differently but treating her with cruelty caused you to lose her. If you want any hope of winning sometimes you have to remember that it isn't always about telling the truth and being right.
She was threatening to murder everyone in the city if her boyfriend died! She's either a psychopath or an incredibly convincing dramaqueen. I'm not going to coddle her when she's doing something like that. Basira wouldn't let me get away with threatening to go on a rampage if Martin died. Again.
[He'd gone on a mini-rampage then... and locked people in the archives against their will to keep them 'safe.' It's fine. It's completely fine. He'd at least targeted the people who hurt Martin instead of everyone indiscriminately. And even then, Cullen had put him in his place with his smiting ability. And Ava had convinced him to let people out.
Still, Basira would have yelled at him and probably threatened to break something or shoot him. It would have been deserved.]
And life isn't a game. I'm not in this to win. I just want you to go the hell away. You have your 'immortality' now, you have plenty of money, you have a whole city filled with whatever twisted pleasures you want to indulge. Why do you want a contract with me? Why do you need that?
That doesn't change the fact that what she was saying wasn't something that deserved kindness. I'll spend my time where it's warranted. And that still doesn't answer my question about our contract.
[What the actual hell? Jon starts thinking back frantically, trying to remember if he's ever hurt Martin. Maybe there have been some... emotional slaps. And he'd certainly been a much worse person a few years ago, but he would never abuse the other man. He couldn't. He hasn't. Has he...?
No. No, this is just Elias messing with him. But Martin's never been especially happy with him. And now with the whole thing with Peter... he's said he's okay with it, but is he really?]
You have no idea what you're talking about. What's been your closest relationship the last five years? Peter Lukas? Simon Fairchild? Another avatar?

I'm sure you can read it here in your own message.

I didn't lie to her.
Or manipulate her for my own gain.

Oh how awful.
I wish you two luck in your relationship.
It seems he'll need it.
Goodbye, Jon.
